Note From the Editor
After dedicating many years to the fragrance industry, I've been reflecting on how much it has evolved—the shifts, the key players, and how I fit into this ever-changing space.
There’s a quiet beauty in the beginning of a new season—a softness, a shift in pace, a craving for something familiar yet refined.
Lately, I’ve been reaching for fragrances that feel like a gentle return to self. Clean musks. Powdery iris. Whispery florals that don’t need to perform—just sit with you. This issue is about those scents. The ones that hold space for stillness, reflection, and grounded grace.
Welcome to the first issue of The Fragrance Society newsletter, celebrating the beginning of our recent "soft start." Along with our new logo comes a fresh, new vibe, and I couldn’t be happier to have you here. My hope is that these curated letters become a ritual—a space to connect with the artistry, culture, and emotion behind scent.
Let’s begin softly.

This Week’s Olfactive Mood: A Gentle Start
Feels like: second-skin, clean warmth, cashmere light, no-pressure presence
The Curated Edit: 4 Scents for Stillness
1. Molecule 01 – Escentric Molecules → Now on Sale at Bloomingdale’s.
One note. One vibe. Transparent ISO E Super that smells like... you, but slightly more magnetic.
2. No. 5 L’Eau – Chanel → Available at Sephora.
A fresh, contemporary take on a classic. Think citrus + aldehydes + white musk. Structured serenity.
3. Glossier You – Glossier → Available at Sephora.
A cozy, clean, and intimate skin scent. Creamy, slightly peppery, and undeniably “you.”
4. You or Someone Like You – Etat Libre d'Orange → Now on Sale at Bloomingdale’s. If minimalism lived in a mint garden. Crisp air, and grapefruit.
Scent & Self: A Reflection
I’ve been thinking about how scent becomes a mirror.
What we reach for when we’re grounded vs. when we’re seeking.
Right now, I’m in a “less is more” era. No theatrics.
What are you craving in scent this season? Comfort? Quiet power? Escapism?
Before You Go...
Next issue, we’re diving into the art of first impressions–– because there is something so unforgettable about the first moment you encounter a fragrance.
Until then, reply and let me know:
What’s your go-to scent for slowing down or starting fresh?
I’d love to feature a few responses in the next issue.
